My Style- December 9, 2012

On Sunday I wore a pair of skinny jeans, a light gray turtle neck, Michael Kors trench coat, black hunter rain boots, and my scarf from Lisa Jones! I kept my accessories very simple and wore my Michael Kors silver Blair watch, Michael Kors silver barrel ring and my Tiffany heart necklace. This outfit was super comfortable and perfect for the rainy weather we are having recently.

My Style- September 25, 2012

Fall is finally here and I am so exited!
Today I am wearing a creme colored collar top underneath a Tommy Hilfiger V-neck sweater. I buttoned my shirt all the way up so that the collar would be visible at the top of my sweater. I love layering my collar tops and sweaters this way. I think it is so adorable yet classy.

Then on the bottom I wore a pair of dark wash skinny jeans. To complete the outfit I threw on my Etienne Aigner riding boots.

I cant forget about the Accessories... I wore my Michael Kors silver blair watch, my Michael Kors silver barrel ring and my Tiffany's heart bracelet.

Here are some more pictures of my outfit! Enjoy!

New York Street Style

As I was walking the streets of New York I noticed the street style people had. I noticed the common trends in the people such as knits, color blocking, and the MC Hammer pant.

This girl is wearing a creme colored knit sweater with a black skull on it. For her bottoms she is wearing black denim shorts. This outfit shows her laid back style. I personally like this outfit a lot. I would wear this outfit to school or just hanging out with friends at the mall or the movies. She is following the knits trend that I saw a lot while walking down the streets of New York.

The girl above is rocking floral MC Hammer pants, a white slouchy sweater, and black converse. Three trends in one outfit! This outfit is adorable and probably one of my  favorites. I would wear this outfit all around town. From this outfit I can tell she is very fashion forward.

MC Hammer pants are pants that have a drop crotch, have a wide leg and come in at the ankle.

I caught this woman walking out of Madison Square Park in her cute color blocking outfit. She is wearing a creme button up blouse, a pair of light pink jeans and black heels. From this outfit i can tell her style is comfortable and cute. I love this outfit.

This woman is also wearing MC Hammer pants. She paired the patterned pant with a simple black blouse. This outfit is simple yet very fashion forward. I'm obsessed with the patterned Hammer pant and the way she took a basic top to pull the outfit together.

I found it really fun walking down the streets and taking pictures of fashionable people.

Nail of the Day - August 27, 2012

Nail of the Day - August 27, 2012

This nail polish is from the brand ZOYA and this color that I recently purchased is called Noot.

This is my first time trying out ZOYA nail polish. I had heard so much hype about ZOYA and I finally gave in and bought my first bottle.

From first impression this polish is really creamy and easy to apply. This color Noot is a dark grey with blue-green undertones. It is such a pretty cool toned grey that I am excited to start wearing on my nails.

Here are some pictures of the polish on my nails-

This blog is so cool! It's really fun to see the styles and trends people have at different colleges across the country! If you are a college student and are interested in fashion you should consider sending in an application to become a Collegefashionista blogger! My Favorite Revlon Lip Products!

Revlon is my favorite drugstore brand of makeup. These products above are some of Revlon's lip products that I am absolutely obsessed with!

The first product is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Glosses!
The consistency of the glosses are so silky smooth, and it is NOT sticky at all! To me the glosses smell like vanilla! The pigmentation of these glosses are amazing and are true to color. See More: http://www.revlon.com/Revlon-Home/Products/Lips/Lipgloss/Revlon-ColorBurst-Lipgloss.aspx

The name of this gloss is Gold Dust 024. It is a really pretty gold/light brown gloss a with a ton of gold shimmer!

This is Peony 008.  It is such a gorgeous coral pink gloss with gold shimmer!

The name of this gloss is Pink Ice 004. This is such a pretty light baby pink with silver shimmer!

The second product line is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. The product is a 3-in-1 mixture of a lip balm, lipstick and a gloss. The texture of these lip butters are so moisturizing that they act as a great lip balm. The color payoff is so pigmented and vibrant that it appears to be a lipstick and the moisture, color and shimmer give the illusion of lip gloss on your lips! This line is awesome! See More: http://www.revlon.com/Revlon-Home/Products/Lips/Lipcolor/Revlon-ColorBurst-Lip-Butter.aspx

This lip butter's name is Cupcake 055. This is a pretty baby pink with a blue undertone to it.

Cotton Candy 045 is a lip butter with medium-tone pink and a pretty gold shimmer!

The third product line is the Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain. These lipstains are so unique - they have the stain on one side and chapstick on the other side. The chapstick is there because lipstains can be very drying. This product is great to throw in your purse on the go. The stain lasts a long time on this product! See More: http://www.revlon.com/Revlon-Home/Products/Lips/Lipgloss/Revlon-ColorBurst-Lipgloss.aspx

(This is what both sides look like open)
This lipstain's name is Desire. This is a light muted pink color.

This lipstain's name is Passion. This is a bright hot pink!
The fourth and final product line is Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. If you like the Just Bitten Lipstain then you will totally love these. This product is basically the same as the normal lipstain in a balm formula! They are moisterizing and like the other, the stain lasts a long time.  And...they smell like mint! See More: http://www.revlon.com/Revlon-Home/Products/Lips/Lipstain/Just-Bitten-Kissable-Balm-Stain.aspx

This balm stain's name is Honey 001. This wearable pink color actually is the perfect nude for my lips because it matches it to a "t"!

All of these Revlon product lines are amazing and I suggest you run to your local drugstore and pick up some of these products!

(I am so sorry I dont have swatches on these products... my camera wasn't cooperating today.)

Meeting Rachel Zoe!

On June 6 I met Rachel Zoe!

My aunt had gotten invited to Rachel Zoe's Fall 2012 preview fashion show at Neiman Marcus. She took me with her because she knows how much I love Rachel Zoe.

The Fall collection is absolutely amazing! The jewelry and clothes are to die for.

I couldn't contain my happiness when I saw Rachel. I also met her husband Rodger Berman and Mandana Dayani.

Getting to meet my fashion inspiration and hero was probably one of the best days EVER!

Someday I hope to become as successful as her in the fashion industry!

Watch this video to see the fashion show.

Diy- Inspiration Board

I love having an inspiration board in my room. Every time I see it makes me happy. I love putting bright colors for the season, trends, and pieces of clothing that I love on the board. It inspires me to recreate the outfits that I put on it. Sometimes when I don't know what to wear I look up at the board and see if there is anything that inspires me to base my outfit around.
Here is what you will need to make your own inspiration board...
  • Magazines (for example Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, Etc.)
  • Scissors & a memo board
The first thing you will need to do is look through all your magazines and cut out anything that pops out at you. I like to cut out outfits people are wearing, pieces of clothes, shoes, purses, and anything else that catches my eye.

Also what I like to do is take tags from brands I like and place them on my bored.

Next you will want to arrange your board to how you like it.

Lastly Hang it up!

HAVE FUN AND GET INSPIRED!

xoxo, Elyssa
